However the best method to generate native revit elements from rhino is to use the wall by face roof by face curtain system and or mass floors commands.
You can export a 2d dwg but be careful when importing 3d dwg data into rhino 3 0 no problem in rhino 4 0 without using the 3 0 bonus tools.
Import the sat file centre to centre.
In this case rhino is not used as an intermediary.
This will activate and import the roof geometry on a layer in rhino called roof.

Grasshopper is launched directly from revit.
By enabling the directshape component in the grasshopper canvas grasshopper will then create a roof based on the lofted surface from grasshopper.
The surface is then used to create a roof in revit.
Make sure you set the scaling units so that the imported file scale is the same as the rhino file.
The sat file will then load into the family.
Of course with a little more work that roof could be a roof from boundary and create a roof system family.
Depending on the base geometry revit may make editing the mass accessible via grips push pull arrows but this is not always the case.
Finally in revit architecture we can load the mass family geometry into a project and associate building elements walls floors to the rhino geometry document the design and quantify.
