What is the difficulty.
Revit joining different profile roof.
23878 i also tried creating a single roof and selected the 3 lines in the sketch that i wanted to be offset from the level but the result is completely weird.
This is a general procedure for joining roofs.
I created two different roofs and i was able to align the slopes but i still see a line in between them.
You need to create the bay window roof separately.
How would one go about joining them with another rafter which is an inclined angle and elevation.
We created a sloped roof and a roof slab below it.
You can join a roof to the top face of another roof and the wall below that roof if you select the wall as the target.
I believe this tools are not design for this purpose.
Hi everyone i m trying to join two roofs with different heights.
Floors ceilings and roofs cut walls.
You cannot join a roof to more than one top face of another roof.
For creating complex roof it might be easier if you create separate roof then use join roof tool to join them later.
It will join in the wrong order and you will need to use the drop down menu next to join to switch the join order.
When a dormer roof joins the main roof the rafters are not in line.
In the previous tutorial we learn about creating roof in revit model.
When we are in a situation like this we can use a trick that is sometimes necessary with revit.
Then from the modify tab on your ribbon use the join geometry command and select the 7 1 2 roof and the wall.
The beam will not snap onto the other beams in the section.
In a project however one of the joined elements actually cuts the other according to the following scheme.
Create a new family.
We will learn how to create two profile family and use them to define our fascia.
Select the wall and use the attach top base button to attach it to the underside of only the 5 1 2 roof.
The wall must be attached to the target roof and the target roof must be a footprint roof.
I tried to join the geometries but revit won t allow me.
But i m not really sure if this is a best practice.
When you join geometry in the family editor you create a union between different shapes.
Using shape editing tools.
So in this tutorial we will close it edges using roof fascia.
