Granite worktop sealants do break down over time and granite worktops will need to be resealed regularly during their lifetime to keep them in pristine condition.

All our granite kitchen and bathroom worktops are sealed before they leave the factory but they will need to be resealed on a regular basis we recommend every 4 months.
At stoneworld we recommend sealing a granite kitchen worktop every 3 months depending on how much cooking you do in the kitchen.
Granite is a popular choice for kitchen counters as well as floor and wall tiles.
Although you may find that many countertops do not require being sealed applying a sealer is common practice.
Reseal your granite worktop regularly granite is waterproof stain resistant heat resistant scratch resistant in most cases it will just wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Spray cleanser evenly onto the surface and buff the stone to remove surface debris grime finger oils or other substances that could block the sealer from penetrating the stone.
Buff the granite completely dry and wait an hour for any moisture the stone has absorbed to evaporate.
Clean the granite counter well before resealing.
To test your surface leave a few drops of water or a wet paper towel on the granite for 10 to 15 minutes doing this in an inconspicuous area.
You should seal your granite or marble countertops once every year.
