Cultured marble is a countertop made from a combination of resin and marble dust. Renew your bathroom vanity. Marble alone is very porous and would stain easily if installed alone. Clean areas around chrome fittings and seams.

Cultured marble is made from powdered marble that has been cast in polymer and covered in a gel coat. Step 1 wash the countertop and sink using mild dish soap and brushes. Cultured marble is made of a mixture of polyester resin limestone dust fillers and pigments with a clear gel coat finish on top.

Cultured marble vanities are easy to clean and offer the appearance of more expensive stone. Make a scratched dull looking cultured marble top look shiny again with an auto polisher and special cleaners and polish and save the cost of replacement. Rinse well with distilled water. Distilled water doesn t have the minerals of common tap water and will not leave deposits on fixtures and sinks.

While you can t remove deep scratches that go all the way through the gel coat it is possible to restore the surface and shine using extremely fine sandpaper and polishing compounds. A lot of homes are using cultured marble countertops because of its great look durability and applications. It is less expensive than regular marble but takes on the same look.
